Safety and Health Guidelines

Rutgers Cinema is taking every step to assure a safe, healthy atmosphere for our guests. With a re-trained staff,
a new approach to scheduling movie times, and relentless commitment to practicing social distance and deep
cleaning every area of our building, we have created a safe environment for students, faculty, staff, and
​families when returning to Rutgers Cinema.

CAPACITY LIMITS:
Capacity is limited based on NJ State guidelines. Staggered showtimes allow individuals in the lobby
and restrooms to maintain social distance.

ENTRY:
Students, faculty/staff, and visitors will be asked to fill out the Rutgers Visitor'sLog-in upon entering the Cinema.

EQUIPMENT:
The arcade, photo booth, and water fountain are currently disabled. Individuals can, however, purchase 
food and drinks at the concession stand.

FACE COVERS:
All staff and guests are required to wear a face covering while inside of the building.

PAYMENT:
Ticket purchases are available online at rutgerscinema.com or through phone. To minimize physical 
contact with employees, guests will be able to scan the barcode on their tickets.

PHYSICAL BARRIER:
There is a plexiglass barrier installed at the concession stand to protect guests and staff members. 
In addition, there is six feetmarkers on the floor leading to the register.

SANITATION:
Hand sanitizer will be available. High touch areas will be regularly cleaned throughout the day. The 
building will be sanitized and disinfected nightly.

SIGNAGE:
Social distancing signs are visible throughout the building, including the front door, lobby, hallway,
 restrooms, and in front ofthe auditorium. Additional signage remind individuals to leave 2 seats
 between them when inside the auditorium.
